Tread Safe LLC , was founded in 2003 and is based in Broken
Arrow, Oklahoma. The company is backed by 13 years of
experience in the chemical sales industry with a background in
Environmental Safety and Health. Tread Safe was formed with the
goal to help people live safer lives by reducing the chance of slips
and falls occurring. We work with companies to assess their
problems and determine the best solution to the problem. Our
treatment works to ease the minds of individuals and business
owners alike.
How it Works
The slip-resistant treatment process is not a coating, but is a
chemical compound that is applied to the surface, allowed to work
and then removed. The result of the treatment is the creation of a
microscopic tread pattern that gives a "gripping effect" to the
surface when wet. It does this without compromising the feel of the
surface when dry. The only difference in the feel, is the
non-offensive gripping effect when wet. There is no discernible
change in the appearance of the surface besides a cleaner look
after treatment. The treatment works on surfaces such as:
ceramic, porcelain and quarry tile, concrete, terrazzo, river rock and
enamel tubs. The process will not be effective on vinyl, plastic or
fiberglass.

The treatment greatly increases traction on the surface in which
static coefficient of friction (SCOF) is usually doubled. In
commercial applications, we guarantee that the surface meets or
exceeds guidelines set by OSHA and the ADA for slip-resistant
surfaces.
